Privacy policy

LoueMaRemorque.ca collects the minimum information needed to answer your enquiries and handle your trailer rentals. This page explains what we collect, why, who it is shared with, and how to exercise your rights.

When you write to us. The contact form sends your name, email address and message. Your IP address is attached, solely to curb automated submissions.

When you book. The contact details and rental information you enter are used to create and invoice the booking.

While you browse. Your browser holds your cart, your rental dates and your cookie choice. That data stays on your device; it is not sent to us.

Audience measurement. Google Analytics counts visits and pages viewed to help us improve the site. It is on by default; you can refuse it at any time in the preferences window: its script is then no longer loaded and its cookies are deleted.

Automatically. Our host logs technical requests (IP address, page requested, timestamp) to keep the site secure and available.

We use no advertising pixel and never sell your information.

Strictly necessary. Your cart contents, your rental dates, and the choice you make in the preferences window. The site cannot work without them. They live in your browser and are erased when you clear your browsing data.

Audience measurement, refusable at any time. Google Analytics sets cookies to tell visits apart. The “Performance and Analytics” category is on by default; if you turn it off, the script is no longer loaded and the measurement cookies already set are deleted.

Third party, not subject to that choice. The chat assistant and the Google reviews are provided by Elfsight, which sets its own cookies. We would rather say it plainly: those widgets load regardless of your choice above. To block them, refuse third-party cookies in your browser settings.

The “Manage your preferences” window records your choice, and you can change it at any time through the “Cookie preferences” link at the foot of every page.

We rely on providers that process some data on our behalf. Each applies its own privacy policy:

• Booqable: bookings, payments and trailer fleet management.
• Formspree: delivering contact form messages to our inbox.
• Elfsight: chat assistant and Google reviews display.
• Google Analytics: audience measurement, unless you refuse it in the preferences window.
• Vercel: website hosting and technical logs.

Some of these providers are based outside Quebec, which may involve processing abroad. We disclose your information to no one else, unless the law requires it.

Contact form messages are kept for as long as it takes to handle your enquiry and retain a useful record. Rental files are kept for as long as our accounting and tax obligations require. Data held by your browser disappears when you clear it.

Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25, gives you the right to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected, ask for its deletion, and withdraw your consent.

Write to us at info@louemaremorque.ca and we will reply within 30 days. If our answer does not satisfy you, you may complain to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
